Either the EC - Declaration of Conformity or the declaration of the manufacturer verifies the conformity of all products manufactured according to the machine directive.
A CE marking of the directive could be required additionally.

The machine directive 98/37/EC assures the free movement of goods - machines, machinery, replaceable equipment- and should secure as well as security components as load carrying equipment within the European Community.
The responsible person (mostly the manufacturer) needs to accomplish the harmonized requirements and the conformity evaluation process.
